Donald Butler Hardwick, 91, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
He was born December 25, 1923, in Randolph County, to Ralph A. and Bessie M. Werts Hardwick. On March 3, 1946, he married Alice R. Baldwin; she preceded him in death on April 27, 2014.
Donald graduated from Lynn High School in 1942. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1994, he retired from Remsco, Inc. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort.
Surviving are one son, John (Katy) Hardwick of Valparaiso; brother, Dean Hardwick of Florida; and four grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Bryan, and Amanda.
In addition to his wife, Donald is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Stephen J. Hardwick; and one great grandchild.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, in the Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel at Wesley Manor from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Chaplain Barbara Kinsler will officiate. Inurnment of Donald and Alice will be held at a later date in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Richmond. Memorials in Donaldâs name may be made to the Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund.
