Donald Collins

Donald L. Collins, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016.  He was born in Flora, on March 9, 1938, to Floyd and Mildred Imler Collins.   

Don lived 38 years in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.  He was in the household goods moving and storage business for over 50 years, selling his business, The Viking Corporation in 2011, to retire.  He was inducted into the International Association of Movers Hall of Honor in 2013.  He moved recently to Atlanta, GA to be near family. 

Don is survived by his wife, Sharon – of over 56 years, four children, Dale, Debbie, Diana and Don, and their families including nine grandchildren; his brothers, Harold and David Collins, and many other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his son, Michael.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Sat, September 10, 2016.  Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
