Donald Lee, 87, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born October 15, 1929, in Kokomo, to Herschel and Hazel Bougher Lee. On November 19, 1950, he married Betty June Sheets; she preceded him in death on September 7, 2013.
Don served in the United States Army. Throughout his life, he was a salesman starting with Electrolux vacuums and varying from cars to sewing machines to tractors; Don believed in his products no matter what it was. His great sense of humor and dedicated hard work showed through in all aspects of life. Don never met a stranger. In his retirement, his bought and sold cars as a hobby along with waxing them. Don also loved to fish. He was a member of the American Legion and past Mason.
Surviving Don are his children, Dennis Ray (Charlene) Lee and Cheryl (Phil) Cash; brother, Harold Lee; five grandchildren, Joshua Ray Lee, Dennis Eugene Lee, Jason Michael Lee, Chris Prather, and Lindsay Cash; step-granddaughter, Ashley Burns; five great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Don is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Joyce Leslie and Wilma Copenhaver; and brother, James Lee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the funeral home.
