Donald Ray Dunford

Donald Ray Dunford, 83 of West Lafayette, Indiana, formerly of Frankfort passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.  He was born March 13, 1933 in Frankfort to Ray D. and Buelah Mae (Foust) Dunford.

Donald graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1951 and was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corp.  He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and Illiana Club of Traditional Jazz dance club. He also held memberships with the Frankfort Masons Lodge #309, VFW Post 1154 in Lafayette, Lebanon Elks Lodge 635, American Legion Post 81, 906 Loyal Order Of Moose, Fraternal Order Of Eagles 402  all in Monticello.

On April 1, 1955, Donald married the former Alice Lank.  She survives with Donald’s sisters, Shirley (Dave) Russell of Midland, MI, Patricia Kollman of Ellettsville, Indiana and Judy (Loren) Thompson of Greenfield, Indiana.

The funeral service for Donald will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
