Donna Lynn Young, age 50, of Battleground, IN, died Friday, August 12, 2011, 4:00 AM at the IU Hospital, Bloomington, IN.
She was born May 15, 1961 in Frankfort to Ralph Charles & Madge Elizabeth (Rogers) Barnett and graduated from Clinton Prairie High School in 1979. A homemaker, she was married to Harold Young on December 28, 2008. Donna was a member of Mechanicsburg Church and enjoyed gardening and being a grandma.
Surviving with mother of Frankfort and her husband of Battleground, are one son, Cody Young, Bloomington, three daughters, Amber (husband Zac) Thurman, Lafayette, Ashley (husband Jared) Parker, Wisconsin, & Hollie Young, Lafayette, one sister, Trudy (husband Harry) Sheets, Frankfort, four brothers, Don (wife Roberta) Barnett, San Antonio, TX, Charles âButchâ (wife Chris) Barnett, Frankfort, Gordon (wife Carol Jo) Barnett, Frankfort & Steve (wife Linda) Barnett, Rossville, two grandchildren, Emma Thurman & Cadence Parker, father-in-law & mother-in-law, Zane & Shirley Young, Battleground.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Barnett.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
