Donnabelle Goode

Donnabelle Goode, 86, of West Lafayette, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at her home.

She was born January 27, 1928, in Clinton County, to Lee and Opal Gery Edris Perrin.  On July 9, 1949, she married William Goode; he preceded her in death August 7, 2008.

Donnabelle graduated from Mulberry High School in 1946 and from Purdue University in 1950 majoring in English and history.  Donnabelle was a school teacher in and around the Clinton and Tippecanoe Counties and also worked alongside her husband in their accounting firm.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette.  Donnabelle loved watching birds and other animals from her window.

Surviving are son Brent (Tamara) Goode of rural Lafayette; daughter Colleen Goode of rural Lafayette; three granddaughters, Jessica Jones, Sara Goode, and Jessica Weakman; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Donnabelle is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Doug; and one daughter, Debbie.

Visitation for Donnabelle will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Philip Klinger officiating.
