Donnie M. Moore

Donnie M. Moore, 69, of Frankfort, died at 5:35 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at his home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1942 in Glasgow, Ky., to Samuel and Myrtle (Jesse) Moore. He married Helen Black May 30, 1965. She preceded him in death July 24, 2007.

Mr. Moore moved to Frankfort in 1965, and worked at worked for Frito Lay for 25 years, retiring in 2005. He had previously worked for P.R. Mallory. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge, and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, gardening and wrestling.

He is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Junior) Roberts of Frankfort and Sandy (Corrie) Reynolds of Michigantown; a son: Danny (Christina) Moore of Frankfort; a sister: Judy (Stephen) Swope of Frankfort; and nine grandchildren: Damon and Jayce Moore, Matt, Aaron, Taylor, Katie and Grant Roberts, Samantha and Lewis Reynolds; and a great-grandchild: Matilda Hawkins.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: Dalton Moore.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 19 at the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Mowery officiating. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
