Donovan Scott Clendenning

Donovan Scott Clendenning, 49, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born in Frankfort on August 27, 1971.

Donovan graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1989 and then Ivy Tech as a journeyman electrician. He worked at Arconic (formerly Alcoa) as an electrician and maintenance technician.

He was a member of the United Steel Workers 115 and the Eagles Lodge and was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He was a derby enthusiast as both a driver and builder. Donovan coached his daughters in softball, enjoyed watching IU basketball, and loved his dog, Samuel.

Donovan is survived by his daughters, Caitlin Clendenning of Kirklin and Kelsie Clendenning of rural Frankfort; father, Jim (wife, Peggy) Clendenning of Mt. Sterling, KY; brother, Brad Clendenning of Frankfort; and sisters, Cathy Dobson of Frankfort and Beverly Hale of Forest.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the funeral home. A livestream of the service will be available online at www.gendafuneralhome.com for those who would like to join virtually.  Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery, Frankfort.
