Doris J. Weaver, 85, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday evening, February 26, 2016, at Clinton House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Frankfort.
She was born December 25, 1930, in Kokomo to Todd and Bessie Pugh. On December 23, 1950, she married Richard E. Weaver, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2015.
Many people will remember Doris as a second grade teacher for over 42 years at Lincoln School in Frankfort. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1948, received her Bachelorâs Degree Ball State University in 1952 and received her Masterâs Degree and graduated with honors from Butler University in 1965. Doris was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors include her children, Richard T. Weaver (Robin) of Indianapolis and Barbara Lemon of Frankfort; and one grandson, Jason Morrow of Kokomo.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ed Pearson, from Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or memorial contributions can be made in Doris Weaverâs name to Clinton County Boys and Girls Club.
