Dorothy Frances Merrill

Dorothy Frances Merrill, 98, of Frankfort, was greeted by her Lord and Savior as she went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, August 6, 2020 at her daughter, Evelyn's residence.  She was born August 8, 1921 in Boone County to Benjamin Franklin Dawson and Mayme Marie Ohlroggee.

She attended Frankfort Schools and worked at the Clinton County Hospital for 20 years as a surgical technician and pharmacy technician. She was a member of the Frankfort 1st Church of the Nazarene, American Legion Auxiliary, and AARP.  She enjoyed knitting, doing word puzzles, walking her dog, working in the yard, and going to church.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Frances Evelyn Donoho and Mary Lou Kays; granddaughters, Marsha McCormack, Sheryl Fiore, Rhonda Rudd, and Angela Alting; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 from 12 pm until the time service at 2 pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Pastor Gordon Smith will officiate.  The family requests that all in attendance wear masks.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
