Dorothy L. Chittick, 85, a life-long Clinton County resident, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Mulberry Health.
She was born February 25, 1932, in Frankfort, to Max and Lydia Johnson Howland. On November 4, 1951, she married Paul R. Chittick; he survives.
In 1950, Dorothy graduated from Frankfort High School and was a former member of Woodside and Colfax Christian Churches. Dorothy was a homemaker and helped Paul with his business. She was an artist who specialized in oil paintings and acrylics; she had been named one of Clinton Countyâs 50 Most Fascinating Women.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her children, William A. (Mickey) Chittick, of New Whiteland, Linda (Jeff) Woods, of Zionsville, and Joyce (Gary) Woodruff and Kathy (Ken) Ledman, both of Rossville; sister, Marjorie (Harlan) Kincade, of Jamestown; ten grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, George, Larry, Harold, and Robert.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at noon. Brent Dahnke will officiate.
