Dorothy R. (Evans) Koppelmann, 84, of Kirklin, died at 10:25 p.m. May 10, 2011, in her home.
Mrs. Koppelman was born on Oct. 11, 1926 in Perry County to August and Mary (Cassidy) Hubert. She married Charles F. Evans on June 22, 1946, and they divorced in 1963. She married George W. Koppelmann on Feb. 7, 1970 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1993.
She worked for P.R. Mallory from 1956 to 1970 and was a member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her grandkids.
Surviving are two sons, Charles David (wife Deb) Evans and George Alan (wife Beth) Evans, both of Kirklin; two daughters, Diana (Terry) Moore and Kathy (Kenny) Crick, both of Kirklin; one brother, Raymond Hubert, of Willow Branch; 11 grandchildren, Jim, Brian, Michael, Joe, Kim, Kelli, Brad, Bill, Jason, Colton and Reece; and 12 great-grandchildren, Sasha, Chelsea, Brody, Morgan, Mitchell, Chase, Jaden, Paige, Kyleigh, Kaleb, Phoenix and Zander; and one great-great-grandchild, Braiden.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Olive Kelly, Edna Kleemann, Gertrude Goty, Agnes Laughner and Alma Johnson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Maryâs Catholic Church. Father Chris Miller will officiate the service. Burial will occur at Green Lawn Cemetery. Calling will occur from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, with a Rosary Service at 3:45 p.m at Genda Funeral Home.
