Edith I. Krammes, 98, of Mulberry, died Sept. 28, 2012 at Mulberry Health and Retirement.
She was born Dec. 30, 1913 to Harry and Millie Cornell Johnson. She married David D. Krammes on June 23, 1933, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2002.
Edith was a life-long Clinton County and Mulberry resident since 1918. She worked at Purdue University as a cook for fraternities and sororities including Phi Sigma Kappa, Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha Chi Omega, for many years.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Martin, Kay Roberts, and Debra Ayers, all of Mulberry; a son-in-law: Gene Bass, of Lafayette; nine grandchildren: Jeff (Ramona) Bass of Delphi, Kathleen Blankenship of Ala., Chylene (Mark) Price of Rossville, Chad (Bobbi) Martin of Boston, Brian Roberts of Mulberry, Amy (Todd) Metzger and Tiffany Weiss of Zionsville, Renee (Michael) Konopa of Noblesville, and Brent Weiss of Lauderdale; 18 great grandchildren: Jordan Bass; Whitney Korty; Kelsey, Kierstan, Kaitlin, and Karlie Blankenship; Nathan and Evan Price; Brent, Cole, and Quinn Martin; Drew, Brady, Isabel, and Ava Metzger; Nolan and Adalyn Konopa; and Carter Dobbs; and three great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband; one daughter, Sue Bass; son-in-law, Bob Roberts; infant granddaughter, Shelley Weiss; three brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Bodine Funeral Home of Mulberry, with Rev. Dean Cooper officiating. Visitation will be from 11a.m.-1p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery.
