Edna M. Scott

Edna M. Scott, 92, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. She was born June 14, 1924 in Lafayette to Eugene and Pearl (Whitesell) Boyle. Edna married Ralph Walker, Sr until his passing in 1969. She then married Dale Scott who passed in 2006. Edna later married Robert Price he passed away in 2015.  

Edna graduated Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1942 and worked for Thrasher’s in Frankfort.  She was a member of Bogantown Christian Church and the Kempton Lion’s Club.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was a farm wife. Edna enjoyed going on service calls with Dale. During her residence at White Oaks in Monticello she was a social butterfly.  She was loved and respected by Staff and resdients.


Surviving Edna are her son, Ralph (Nancy) Walker, Jr of Monticello; sister, Barbara (Bob) Kochert of Lafayette; brother Eddie (Mary) Boyle of Lafayette; grandchildren, Candy (Steve) McAllister of Ft. Myers, Florida and Kevin (Jessica) Walker, of Forest ;  and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Sophia and Ethan Walker

In addition to her husbands, Edna is preceded in death by her parents, companion and brother Billy.

Visitation will be held from 6:00- 7:00p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017 at White Oak Health Campus 814 S. 6th St., Monticello, Indiana.  Graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with visitiation at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirklin. Pastor Bill Tully will officiate.  Donations in memory of Edna may be made to the American Cancer Society.
