Edwin C. âEdâ Blodget, 93, of Frankfort, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
He was born February 27, 1923, in Vevay, Switzerland County, to John and Viola Wright Blodget. On November 30, 1952, he married Loree McBride; she preceded him in death on September 12, 2002.
Ed served in the United States Army during World War II. Throughout his life, Ed farmed after moving to Frankfort, in 1954. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church where he and Loree were active in the McClure Fellowship Class and Indiana Farm Bureau.
Ed is survived by his children, Mark (Marna) Blodget, of Frankfort, and Martha Blodget, of Mulberry; two grandchildren, Ryan (Maggie) Blodget and Kimberly (Chris) Moore; and great-grandchildren, Noah Blodget and Liam Blodget.
In addition to his wife, Ed is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dale Blodget; and sister, Hazel Sullender.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 5:00 â 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Philip Jordan officiating. Entombment will follow at Green Lawn Mausoleum.
