Elena A. Hornsby
Elena A. Hornsby, 60, of Frankfort, died at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in St. Elizabeth Hospital East, Lafayette.
She was born Oct. 11, 1951 in Frankfort, to Tomasa Alvarado and Gavino Montalvo. She has been married to Frank âRabbitâ Hornsby for 27 years. He survives.
A lifelong Frankfort resident, Mrs. Hornsby was a homemaker. She attended St. Maryâs Catholic Church and was a member of the Zion Apostolic Tabernacle Church. She also enjoyed gardening and she helped her husband with the rental property business.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter: Brenda (John) Brock; three grandchildren: Johnny (Heather) Brock, Mindy Brock and Kathy Brock; three brothers: Geronimo (Linda) Montalvo, Robert Montalvo and Steve Montalvo; four sisters: Solia Werstbaugh, Mary Lou Lovett, Christina (Charles) Slaven and Donisia Cornego; an aunt: Janie (Robert) Mosby; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Vidy Arellnes.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, Friday, April 20 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
