Elizabeth âDianneâ Mossburg Sterling, 68, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Milner Community Health Center in Rossville.
Dianne was born on August 22, 1947, in Kokomo, IN, to the late Robert and Alma Jean Cripe Mossburg. On August 24, 1967, she married Lester Lee Sterling but they later divorced.
Dianne graduated from Rossville High School in 1965. She retired as a cook for Phi Gamma Delta with Wabash College after 20 years of service. Dianne worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital and worked with the children at The Childrenâs Home in Lebanon. She was an artist and loved to paint with oils and watercolors and enjoyed playing cards. She formerly attended The Church of God in Battleground, IN, where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her sister, Joni A. Davis; two nephews, Shawn and Jeremy Davis; one niece, Rebecca Davis; six great-nieces, and two great-nephews.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law, the late Joe Davis; and her grandparents, the late Raymond and Sylvia Cripe. She is rejoicing with them all in Heaven today.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Mary Hartman will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or memorials in Dianneâs name may be made to American Diabetes Association.
