Elizabeth Westine Wilson, 93, of Churubusco, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at her daughterâs home.
She was born July 14, 1920, in Tipton County, the daughter of Guy and Elsie Kepler Newton. Westine married Clayton Donald Wilson on August 17, 1968; he preceded her in death February 26, 2007.
Westine graduated from Elwood High School in 1944 and from St. Joseph Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1947. She owned and operated Newton Convalescent Home in Frankfort from 1957-1969. Westine then worked at Frankfort Hospital and later became a private duty nurse from 1973-1976. In 2003, they moved to Churubusco. Westine had been a member of Mt. Hope Chapel in Michigantown.
Surviving Westine is one son, Walter D. (Alice) Wilson of Muncie; three daughters, Marilyn Joy (Stephen) Middaugh of Churubusco, Sandra Lea Wilson of Lafayette, and Kellena Johnson of Crawfordsville; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Rothenberger; two sisters; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Westine will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Mount Hope Chapel in Michigantown with Pastor Max Kingsolver officiating.
