Ellen (Beets) Peters

Ellen Peters, of Rossville, passed away December 7, 2022, in Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, just days before her 83rd birthday.  She was born December 28, 1939, in Clinton County to Paul and Thelma (Young) Beets.

After graduating from Rossville High School in 1957, Ellen married Kenneth Peters on May 28, 1966, and they shared 44 loving years together before his passing November 17, 2010.

Ellen was a tax preparer for 40 years at Beets Bookkeeping.  She attended Geetingsville Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving Ellen are her daughters, Rebecca (Dave) Glassburn and Michele Mulkey; grandchildren, Colin Stephen, Joel (Danielle) Glassburn, and Kellie Conley; great-grandchildren, Avien, Gracie, and David; and brothers, Thomas (Phyllis) Beets and Robert (Shirley Stirling) Beets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Steven Beets and William Beets; and a sister, Nancy Gower.
