Eric James Austin, 19, of Kirklin, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Eric was born January 18, 1994, in Lafayette. He is the son of Jason (Tana) Austin and Stacy (Jason) Rednour; they survive.
A lifelong resident of Clinton County, Eric was a 2012 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He had a love of cars, especially his Z28 Camaro. Ericâs favorite color was orange. He was a fan of Indianapolis Colts football and enjoyed video games, ATVs, music concerts and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his parents, Eric is survived by two brothers, Trace Rhine and Jake Austin; three sisters, Hannah Lowery, Mick Rhine, and Katie Austin; paternal grandparents, Bill and Carol Garrison and Cheryl Smith; maternal grandparents, Jim Snyder and Peggy (Fred) Bitner; paternal great-grandmothers, Sally Bolen and Deloris Crain; paternal great-grandfather, Richard Smith; two uncles, Jim Austin Jr. and Devin Bitner; and one aunt, Hayleigh Pearcy.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, James Austin Sr. and Stanley Spears; paternal great-grandfather, Harold Bolen; maternal great-grandparents, Emil and Marjorie Snyder and Tom and Peggy Cripe; and an aunt, Miranda Snyder.
Visitation for Eric will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 5-8 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Ditson-McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery in Michigantown. Memorials in Ericâs name may be made to Clinton County Humane Society.
