Erma E. Metzger, 90, of Rossville, died at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Milner Community Healthcare.
Born Aug. 31, 1920, in Cerro Gordo, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Wagoner Metzger. She moved to Indiana in 1950, lived in the Camden area until she moving to Rossville in January 1984
Miss Metzger was a member of Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Leora Wagoner (husband: Gilbert) of rural Rossville and Leona Selby of Pleasant Hill, Ohio.
A brother-in-law, Duane Meador of Pyrmont; 7 nephews, Stuart Meador (wife: Marilyn) of Decatur, IL, Craig Meador (wife: Vickie) of Rossville, Roger Meador (wife: Connie) of Cutler, Dennis Meador (companion: Cheryl) of Frankfort, David Metzger (wife: Laura) of Salem, OR, Stephen Bean (wife: Vicki) of Decatur, IL, David Bean (wife: Carol) of Fairfield, CT.; 4 nieces, Debra Lee (husband: Mike) of Ames, IA, Chris Fair (husband: Scott) of Rochelle, IL, Kenlynn Peters (husband: D.A.) of Wirtz, VA, Mary Ann Sink (husband: Dale) of Pleasant Hill, OH; 2 stepnephews, Chris Wagoner (wife: Kathryn) of Mulberry, IN, Craig Wagoner (wife: Arlene) of Rossville; and 2 stepnieces, Julia Root (husband: Gene) of Rossville, Kimberly Meador (husband: Larry) of Cutler; several great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sisters, Velma R. Bean Zimmerman and Lois Meador, and one brother, Robert Metzger. Erma was a cherished sister and aunt who provided love and inspiration to all her family.
Calling 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Services at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren, home brethren officiating. Burial at North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
