Esther M. Bogan
Esther Marie Bogan, 101, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center.
She was born July 24, 1914, in Clinton County, to Harry and Etta Eaton Rabanus. Esther graduated from Jefferson High School in 1932, as valedictorian. On June 27, 1935, she married Wesley Bogan who preceded her in death on September 11, 1983.
In addition to her husband, Esther is preceded in death by her son, Terry Bogan; son-in-law, Allen Schlegel; sisters, Edna McCarty and Mary Shimp; and brothers, Glen, Eugene, Harry, and Ralph Rabanus.
Surviving are her children, Greg (Marcia) Bogan of Carmel, and Rebecca Schlegel of Lawrenceburg, FL; sisters, Jean Allen of Frankfort, and Betty Connaway of Geetingsville; six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
