Ethel Marie Landes

Ethel Marie Metzger Landes, 95, of Mulberry, died on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Mulberry Health and Retirement.

She was born June 3, 1917, in Clinton County, the daughter of Mose and Clara Moubray Metzger.

Ethel married Earl Eugene Landes on November 24, 1938; he preceded her in death on April 4, 1988.

She was a homemaker and previously worked part time at Mulberry Health and Retirement.  Ethel was a member of United Church of God in Lafayette.

Surviving Ethel are two daughters, Nancy Kay (Charles) Davison of Mulberry, and Clara Mae Cooper of Hillsboro, OR; daughter-in-law, Brenda Landes of Logansport; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren

In addition to her husband, Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Edward Dean Landes, Larry Leroy Landes, and David Wayne Landes; one granddaughter, Rachel Cooper son-in-law, Bob Cooper; and two brothers, John Metzger and James Metzger.

Visitation for Ethel will held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Mulberry from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on 1 p.m. with Pastor David Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
