Evelyn B. Ledman, 85, of Rossville, died at 4 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at Milner Community Healthcare.
She was born June 4, 1926 in Earl Park, IN, to George Albert and Bernice Ethyl (Drollinger) Osborn. She married Kenneth Lee Ledman Sr. Dec. 17, 1948. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1987.
Mrs. Ledman was a homemaker and worked in Home Health Care for 10 years. She also was a babysitter until 2006. She attended the Rossville Presbyterian Church and has also attended the Dayton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by five children, Floyd (Robin) Ledman of Springfield, Ill., William âBillâ (Beverly) Ledman of Rossville, Kenneth âKennyâ (Kathy) Ledman of Rossville, Judith âJudyâ (Frank) Virostek of Westville, Ill. And Margaret (Jessie) Scales of Lafayette; two brothers: John (Jenny) Osborn of Potamic, Ill. And Melvin Osborn of Danville, Ill.; two sisters: Anna Belle Nickles and Agnes (Dennis) Seals, both of Hoopston, Ill.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Edward, Wesley, Charles âBillâ and Howard; and two sisters: Helen Keeling and Alice Farmer.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Pastor John Everitt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
