Evelyn Louise Cripe

Evelyn Louise Cripe, 92, of Rossville, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Milner Community Health Care. She was born January 28, 1932, in Piatt County, Illinois to Joseph Marvin and Dorothy Alice (Beeghley) Cripe.

She was a graduate of Cerro Gordo High School in Illinois. She worked several jobs over her years, including office work, Amway Sales, and managing her farm. She was a faithful member of Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She enjoyed music and singing, traveling the world, photography, and her extensive collection of cookbooks. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her nieces, Janice (Ohmer) Etter, Karen (Larry) Wray, Ronda (Galen) Bowman; 23 great nieces and nephews; and 31 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant siblings; a sister, Margaret, her husband, Harold Mohler; and a nephew and his wife, Keith and Linda Mohler.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 5-8pm, at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. The burial will follow at Middle Fork Old German Baptist Cemetery.
