F. Sue Davis

F. Sue Davis, 73, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

She was born January 3, 1944, in Cynthiana, Ken., to Charlie E. and Daisy Lee Martin Cheek.  In 1972, she married Bud Davis; he preceded her in death on February 7, 1999.

Sue graduated from Clinton Central High School in 1962.  After 27 years serving as a clerk and secretary, Sue retired from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office in 2005.  She was a member of Michigantown United Methodist Church and enjoyed puzzles and reading.

Surviving Sue are her son, Anthony Davis, of Frankfort; step-son, Craig Davis; step-daughter, Adrianne Godby; brother, Tim Cheek; sisters, Joyce Russell, Shirley Dean, Wanda Maher, and Norma Zetterberg; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Sue is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Troy Edward Miller and Charlie Joe Miller; and brother, Charles Cheek.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Whitaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery in Scircleville.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
