Francie A. "Sue" (Mounts) Spencer

Francie A. “Sue” Spencer, 78, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 22, 1947, in Frankfort to T. Bill and Margaret Louise (Reed) Mounts. She married Bruce Spencer on August 2, 1966, and he survives.

Sue was a 1965 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked at National Cigar and then Wal-mart for 12 years until her retirement in 2015. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching her shows on TV, and listening to Oldies music on the radio. But her heart was for her family. She loved spending time with her family and sharing in special moments with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 58 years, Sue is survived by her children, Bruce (Sherry) Spencer and Eddie (Karma) Spencer; sister, Mary Ann (Mike) Shaw; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her furry child, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kay Mounts; and brothers, Dane and Bill Mounts.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Alan Downing will officiate, and burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s honor to Riley Hospital.
