Francis Michael âFrankâ Minth Sr., 88, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at The Springs in Lafayette.
Frank was born April 2, 1927, in Zanesville, OH, to John and Myrtle McGrath Minth. On January 11, 1952, he married Vera Sharlene Lashbrook in Frankfort; she survives.
He attended Frankfort Senior High School. Frank served in the United States Navy. Before retiring in 1992, he was custodian for First Christian Church for 30 years. He was a member of Manson Congregational Church and enjoyed baseball, basketball, and yard work.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by three sons, Francis Michael (Lynn) Minth Jr. of West Lafayette, Jerry (Deborah) Minth of Westfield, and Marshall (Kristi) Minth of Goshen; two daughters, Catherine (Michael) Ralston) of Rossville and Carolyn (Tim) Trent of Frankfort; son-in-law, Wilbur Lucas of Frankfort; ten grandchildren, Julie, Adam, Jordon, Daniel, Nicholas, Angela, Amy, Amber, Taylor, and Baylee; and 11 great grandchildren.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Patricia Lucas, three brothers, and four sisters.
Visitation for Frank will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating.
