Francisca G. Guajardo

Francisca G. Guajardo, 83, of Brownsville, Texas, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her home.

She was born January 11, 1931, in Edcouch, Texas, to Jorge Garcia and Natalia Gonzalez.  On September 15, 1951, she married Juan G. Guajardo in Mexico; he preceded her in death.

Francisca worked for Essex Wire in Flora, and later Prairie Industries.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort.  

Surviving Francisca are her sons, Juan H. (Marlene) Guajardo, Alfredo (Veronica) Guajardo, and Carlos Guajardo, all of Frankfort; her daughters, Juanita (Jose) Rosales, Marilu (Victor) Castillo, and Bertha (Luis) Garcia, all of Frankfort, Rosa A. Hernandez-Nestor of Brownsville, TX, Nora A. (Randy) Jackson of Lafayette, Armandina “Amy” (Jeff) Anderson of Johnstown, PA, Eulalia “Lala” Davis, Norma A. Echeverria, and Maria E. Miller, all of Frankfort; sisters, Consuelo Garcia and Ramona Garcia, both of Mexico, and Maria Guadalupe Garcia of Brownsville, TX; brother, Alberto Garcia of Brownsville, TX; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Juan Guajardo Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort, with Fr. Chris Miller presiding.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Francisca’s name may be made to Clinton County Cancer.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
