Freida Yvonne Clendenning

Freida Yvonne Clendenning, 84, of Sedalia, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  

She was born June 22, 1929, in Carroll County, the daughter of Ora and Alma Rauch Roth.  On February 15, 1947, she married James Fred Clendenning; he preceded her in death in February of 1983.

Freida attended Rossville High School.  She was a dealer in antiques and collectibles.  Frieda was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church.

Surviving Freida are two sons, Alan (Dorothy) Clendenning of Owasco and Daniel (Mary Lou) Clendenning of Lafayette; four daughters, Jacque (Dan) Cooper of Rossville, Winifred (Ed) Beard of Owasco, Phyllis (Jack) Hodgen of Frankfort, and Mary (Sam) Schiery of Rossville; two sisters, Gwen (Wayne) Remaly of Owasco and Norma Stengel of Frankfort; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Freida is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Eleanor; and one great granddaughter.

Visitation will be held for Freida from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel.  Funeral service for Freida will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian White officiating.  Entombment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Freida’s name may be made to the Rossville United Methodist Church.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
