Gale Wayne Bever

Gale Wayne Bever, 91, of Rossville, passed away March 3, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was born on July 12, 1932, in Greenfield, Indiana, to Grant and Flora Jane (Hill) Bever. He married Dorothy Walton on May 19, 1965, in Greenfield. 

He was a dedicated transport driver for Petrolane Propane for 30 years. Gale was a strong-willed man that enjoyed mowing the yard, planting his vegetable garden, racing his cars, working on cars, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with his family.  He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and could often be found supporting them in their 4-H activities.

Along with his wife of 58 years, Gale is survived by his children, Timothy (Choale) Bever of Grand Prairie, Texas, Gary (Tonya) Bever of Midland, Texas, David (Monica) Bever of Rossville, Shelley McKinney of West Lafayette, Wayne (Mindy) Bever of Flora, Matthew Bever of Pyrmont; five grandchildren, Jacob Goris, Jarrad (Olivia) Goris, Allison (Nathan) Mohler, Sophie Bever, Tim (Jessica) Bever, Jr.; and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ed, Lee, Charles, Leonard, and Robert Bever; sisters, Elizabeth Dickerson, Betty Duffenheimer, Mary Heidi, and Maxine Bever; and an infant sister.
