Garrett R. Loucks, 86, Frankfort, died at 9:50 a.m. July 10, 2011 at the
Clinton House Health & Rehab Center.
Mr. Loucks was born Aug. 27, 1924 in Boone County to Roscoe Clinton and Metta Belle (Snowden) Loucks. He married Marlene Rogers and they divorced.
He worked for Stewart Warner in Lebanon for 20 plus years, and then did odd jobs. He lived most of his life in Clinton County and attended First Wesleyan Church of Frankfort, and also attended Pilgrim Holiness College.
Mr. Loucks served with the US Army during World War II; enjoyed working on cars; and liked to play his guitar, sing and spend time with his family.
Surviving are four daughters, Lisa Davison of Frankfort, Rhonda (husband Peter) Bromme of Fredericksburg, Va., Deanna Schwartz of Frankfort and Michelle (husband Jason) Collins of Chrisman, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and one grandson.
Services will be held at noon, Friday, July 15, 2011 at Genda Funeral Home. Rev. Ernest Batman and Rev. Jeff Lemire will officiate the services. Calling will occur from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Burial will occur in Bunnell Cemetery with military burial rites.
