Geraldine "Gerri" Roberson

Geraldine Grace “Gerri” Roberson, 86, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born on October 12, 1934, in Francisco, Indiana to Joseph “Arthur” and Blossom (McQuary) McDevitt. She married Dennis Paul Roberson on July 18, 1953; he preceded her in death on March 31, 2002.

Gerri was a 1952 graduate of Francisco High School. She worked for 20 years, retiring in 1999, in the billing department at Clinton County Hospital where she also volunteered as a  Pink Lady. Gerri was a member of the Frankfort Bible Holiness Church, where she enjoyed attending services, and the Wabash Area Lifetime Learning Association. Gerri was always taking classes to learn more about what her family was interested in. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, arts and crafts, doing word and jigsaw puzzles, being around others, but more importantly being a grandma by spending lots of time with her grandchildren.

Gerri is survived by her daughters, Denise May (husband, Bill) of Kirklin, Karen Olivier (husband, Wade) of Okemos, MI and Cindy Wood (husband, Gary) of Frankfort; son, Stephen Roberson (wife, Carla) of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Gerri is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma Gillespie, Maxine Comer and Mabel Deen-Ross; brother, Walter McDevitt; brothers-in-law, Carl Deen, Russell Comer, and Marvin Ross; and grandson, Christopher May.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday May 12, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Fry officiating.  Burial will be in the Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.

Memorial contributions in Gerri’s honor may be made to Frankfort Bible Holiness Church, Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
