Glenita Smith, 73, of Frankfort, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born November 9, 1939, in East St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Harvey and Mary âVirginiaâ Dickey.
Glenita was a 1958 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was a homemaker and member of First Nazarene Church, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and Red Hat Society.
Surviving are one son, Zachary (Darla) Smith; one daughter, Angie (Jim) Smith; one brother, Stephen (Peggy) Gallaher; eight grandchildren, Stephnie, Nikki, James, Steven, Austin, Meikayla, Stevie, and Kegan; six great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step sister, Betty Watkins; nephew, Timothy Gallaher; and her former husband, Stanley E. Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Larry Pervis will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
