Gwendolyn Burns, 90, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, October, 7, 2017, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.
Gwen was born January 25, 1927, in Attica, and was raised by the late Jim and Bessie Wilson. On February 11, 1947, she married Robert Burns; he preceded her in death on October 13, 1991. Throughout her life, Gwen worked at the Roxy Movie Theatre, Clarkâs Furniture and Appliance Store, and the value Dress Shop. Later in her life, she enjoyed managing a duplex apartment house she owned.
Surviving Gwen are her sons, Mike (Jane) Burns, of Noblesville, and Mark Burns, of Frankfort; grandsons, Matt Burns, of Noblesville, Steve Burns, of Lafayette, and Chad Burns, of Florida; and great grandchildren, Madison and Andrew Burns, both of Noblesville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gwen is preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Clark, and brother, Gerald Wilson.
To honor Gwen, a private family graveside service was held at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials in her name may be made to Clinton County Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, with online condolences directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
