Harold Carson Banks, 74, of Frankfort, died on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home.
He was born May 8, 1938, in Van Cleve, KY, the son of Ernest and Gracie Mullins Banks.
On November 10, 1957, he married the former Eva Jane Shideler in Royal Center, IN; she survives.
Retiring in 2003, Harold worked as the frozen foods manager at Marsh Super Market. He was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort, and enjoyed wintering with his wife in Florida.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Vicki Anderson (husband, Richard); brother, Ernie Banks (wife, Sherli); sisters, Ethel DeCook (husband, Robert), Helen Back (husband, Arlie), and Mary Ellen Marcum; sister-in-law, Betty Banks; granddaughter, Sarah Anderson-Lacay (husband, Joe); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Garson Banks; and son, William David Banks.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service for Harold will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at St. Matthew United Methodist Church at 11a.m. with Pastors Jake Fisher, Michael Lawson, and Lore Gibson. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
