Harold Gene Baker, 74, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born March 14, 1940, in Kokomo, the son of William Theodore and Velva Cardwell Baker. On March 8, 1960, he married Ethel Stringer; she survives.
Harold attended Frankfort Schools. Harold worked for 16 years at Sedalia Grain Elevator and later for Rostone Manufacturing as a machine operator for 27 years before retiring in 2005. He was a past member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges and I.B.E.W. Harold was an avid reader, loved his grandchildren, and stayed out of trouble by tinkering in the garage.
In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his daughters, Carla R. Ferguson of Frankfort, and Ethel R. (Raymond) Gullicksen of Ocala, FL; one sister, Marge Nistler of Arizona; two brothers, Fred (Glenda) Baker of Frankfort, and Richard Baker of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cheryl Ann Adams; and one brother, Robert Baker.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Chaplain Dwight Herin will officiate.
