Harold Addison Miller

Harold Addison Miller, 98, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Mulberry Health and Retirement.  He was born March 5, 1925, in Cerro Gordo, IL to Russell and Dora “Fern” (Wilkie) Miller.  He married Lois Wagoner on September 8, 1946.  She preceded him in death.

Harold was a master craftsman and owned Harold Miller Construction of Greater Lafayette and surrounding areas, where he built and designed homes.  Harold was a kind, caring man, that took care of his neighbors, and enjoyed being social and making friends.  He also enjoyed dancing, golfing, fishing, boating and water skiing, and loved building things and doing home projects with and for his family, that he loved above all other things.

Harold is survived by his children, Malinda (Rick Stark) Hannah, Muriel (David) Grimes, and Ron (Kim) Miller; grandchildren, Jennifer Armitage, Jeff Hannah, Bethany Stangle, Pat Grimes, Russ Grimes, Julie Boles, Joe Grimes, Jayme Haas, Trevor Miller, and Mason Miller; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law, Mike Hannah.

Memorial visitation will be held, Friday, September 29, 2023, from 3pm until the time of the memorial service at 6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
