Harold W. Mann
Harold Wayne Mann, 83, formerly of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Cumberland Point in West Lafayette.
He was born February 3, 1930, in Forest, the son of Harry B. and Hazel Ellen Wright Mann. He was formerly married to Helen Wininger and later married Julia âJudyâ Shelly; they preceded him in death.
Harold graduated from Forest High School in 1948. He began his employment with the Monon Railroad in Lafayette where he worked for over 16 years. Harold then worked at A.E. Staley, now Tate and Lyle, for over 18 years before his retirement in 1986. He attended Kirklin Assembly of God.
Harold is survived by two children, David Mann of Lafayette, and Joyce (Warren) Cundiff of Louisville, KY; three step children, Travis, Shelly, and Lisa Renee, two granddaughters, Kala and Whitney; and ten step grandchildren.
In addition to his wives, Harold is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Beulah Orr and Neva Pursifull; step son, David; and step daughter, Kimberly.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Veneman Cemetery in Forest. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Memorials in Haroldâs name may be made to the Veneman Cemetery. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
