Harold W. Wyant, 88, Michigantown, died 5:50 p.m. Oct. 26, 2011 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.
He was born May 16, 1923 in Clinton County to Paul H. and Ethel M. (Quick) Wyant. He married Helen L. Lewis April 1, 1945, and she survives.
The lifelong area resident graduated Michigantown High School in 1941 and was class president.
He was a collector of IH memorabilia and local Indian artifacts. He loved his family.
Harold was a farmer, and after retirement worked for Crenshaw Paving and as a janitor for Clinton Central. He was a member of Michigantown United Methodist Church and a Mason with Beard Lodge for 50 plus years.
He is survived by two daughters, Trudy (husband Roy) Cheek and Diana (husband Fred) Richardson, both of Michigantown; three grandchildren, Tammy Davis, Troy Cheek and Travis Cheek; and four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Hayden, Hanna and Trace.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Derick and Heather, and one sister, Frances Thompson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at Genda Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Woods officiating. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery. Calling hours are 12-2 p.m. Oct. 29 at Genda Funeral Home.
