Harris ""Bud"" J. Friend

Harris J. “Bud” Friend, 79, of Rossville, passed away surrounded by his family at his home Monday evening, June 20, 2016.

Bud was born on September 8, 1936 in Frankfort to Benjamin Harrison Friend and Beulah Louise (Shaw) Friend. He attended schools in Forest, IN and on June 19, 1959, he married his wife, Corinne Kay (Williams) Friend, who survives. Bud was a self-employed carpenter and a farmer. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Carroll County Antique Tractor and Machinery Association and enjoyed showing off his tractors in the local parades.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Corinne K. Friend of Rossville, one son, David (Jackie) Friend, of Rossville; one daughter, Sandra (Edward) McAteer of Valparaiso; one sister, Mary L. Friend of Forest; one brother Samuel (Jamie) Friend of Forest; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
