Harry D. ""Boone"" Beebe

Harry D. “Boone” Beebe, 74, of Forest, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014, at his daughter’s home.

He was born July 4, 1940, in Newcomb, Tenn., to Jesse L. and Elle Mae Schubert Beebe.  He was formerly married to Sandra K. Wells.

Harry attended Burlington and Forest Schools.  He served in the United States Army as a Sgt. First Class Airborne while stationed in France and Germany.  Harry worked as a lineman for Public Service Indiana and Frankfort Light and Power for a total of 35 years before retiring in 1982.  He was also owner and operator of Beebe and Sons from 1967 to 1987.

Surviving Harry are one son, Jeffrey D. (Cindy) Beebe of Boylston; two daughters, Laura D. Miller of Frankfort, and Janet Beebe of Colfax; two sisters, Maxine Eldridge of Alabama, and Jean Impson of Frankfort; one brother, Lester (Deborah) Beebe of Poland, Ind.; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by one son, Ernest Beebe; one daughter, Leanna Michelle Smith; two sisters, and one brother.

Visitation for Harry will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family to help defray costs.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
