Helen E. Grove, 83, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014, at her residence.
She was born April 7, 1931, in Noblesville, to Samuel and Ruby (Maish) Moyer. On February 8, 1951, Helen married Richard E. Grove; he survives.
Helen graduated from Frankfort High School in 1949. She worked for Schlosser Brothers, Bunnell Cemetery, and Frankfort Public Library.
Helen attended First Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Helen was active in the Clinton County Genealogical Society, was a lifelong member of the Clinton County Historical Society, and served as Past Clinton County Historian. She was honored to be named a Clinton County Gem.
In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by her sons, Samuel (Wife Debbie) Grove of Cartersville, GA, and Matthew (Wife Cindy) of Frankfort; her daughters, Susan (Husband Gary) Plunkitt and Sarah âSallyâ (Husband Jeff) Moore, both of Frankfort; ten grandchildren, Nick, Andi, Luke, Joe, Mickey, Brian, Rose, Seth, Grace, and Sophie; and three great grandchildren, Jett, Sonnet, and Magnolia Jane.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bob, Don, and Harold Moyer; and grandson, Jacob Moore.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Richard D. Birden and Rev. Kelly Kurth will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helenâs name may be made to Grace on Wings, St. Jude Childrenâs Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice, or Clinton County Humane Society.
