Helen Elizabeth Pippenger, 79, of Fayetteville, N. Carolina and formerly of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born October 31, 1933, in Clinton County, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Cecile Frazee Hailman. On February 26, 1953, she married William Edgar âBillâ Pippenger; he survives.
Helen worked for Clinton County Hospital for 15 years and retired from Mallory Controls after 30 years. Helen attended First Baptist Church in Frankfort.
In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by two sons, Steven Pippenger (wife, Carol) of Fayetteville, NC, and David Lee Pippenger (wife, Bessie) of Laurel, MD; one grandson, three step granddaughters, seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and six godchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William Taylor Hailman; and two sisters, Trella Myers and Nina Louise Gamble.
Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort on Thursday, August 15, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery in Kirklin. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helenâs name may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 433 Southland Dr., Fayetteville, NC, 28311.
