Helen Frances Pearson Lowery, 92 of Pyrmont, died on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 1:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, Indiana.

Born November 10, 1918 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of  Eli and Blanche M. (Allen) Pearson. She married John Frank Lowery on June 8, 1939 in Lafayette and he survives.

A homemaker, she was also employed by Crown Laundry in Lafayette for seven years.  Helen Loved to travel, cook and attend Bluegrass Music Festivals.

She was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren and attended Pyrmont Church of the Brethren.

Surviving with her husband are four sons, Jerry L. (wfie Vivian Joan) Lowery of Pyrmont, IN, Gordon W. (wfie Kay) Lowery of Lafayette, Jack E. (wife Kitty) Lowery of Delphi, and Gene K. Lowery of rural Rossville, a sister, Fern (husband Garland) Metzger of Rossville, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Eva Pearson, Orpha Campbell, Rugh Brugh and infant Milly Pearson and three brothers, Dale Pearson, Dennis Pearson and Gurthie Pearson.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Pastor Guy Studebaker officiating. Interment will be in Pyrmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2010, at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville.
