Helon C. Bushman, 79, a life-long Frankfort resident, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Wesley Manor.
She was born July 2, 1937, in Monroe County, Ky., to Jessie Wilson and Eva Page Gerald. On February 22, 1957, she married Carl Bushman; he preceded her in death.
Helon graduated from Frankfort High School and later attended school for her realty license. She worked at Clinton Abstract Co. for 13 years and retired from Power, Little and Little Law Attorney at Law after 20 years. Helon also worked at Village Square Realty as an agent for 13 years. She was an active member of Memorial Parkway Church of Christ where she also taught Sunday school; Helon enjoyed reading and sewing.
Surviving Helon are her children, Vicki (Ed) Wolfe, Jeffrey (Denise) Bushman, and Missy (Carl) Morrison, all of Frankfort; sister, Doris (Shelby) Shaw, of LaGrange, GA; eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Helon is preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Amanda and Jacob Fish.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the funeral home with Minister Don Smith and Elder Brad Kriel officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
