Henrietta Ida Luttrell, 90, of Waianae, HI, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Kaiser Medical Center in Hawaii.
She was born July 19, 1923, in Kokomo, the daughter of Elmer Ross and Blanche (Segretain) Storms. Henrietta married Charles C. Luttrell; he preceded her in death June 1986.
Henrietta graduated with honors from Kokomo High School and attended Ozark Bible College. Henrietta was a retired missionary who served at Palolo Valley Church of Christ, Kalihi Church of Christ, Waipahu Church of Christ, Maile Christian Church, and Waialua Christian Church. She was a teacher, encourager and author (Pebbles in the Pond). She was a member at Waialua Christian Church and Grace Bible Church in Kapolei.
Henrietta is survived by four children, Amy Lou (David) King, Leta Joy (David) Leggitt, Mark Ivan (Nikki Watts) Luttrell, Lora Lei (Greg) Price; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchild, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Henrietta is preceded in death by son, Philip Kent Luttrell; daughter-in-law, Jonna Hoyer Luttrell; two granddaughters, Beth Luttrell and Maile King; and four siblings, Bessie, Julien, Arthur, and Bertha.
Visitation for Henrietta will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Macedonia Christian Church in Kokomo. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the church with Judson Road Christian Church Pastor Gary Carpenter officiating.
