Herbert C. Sheets, 93, Frankfort, died 4:38 p.m. Oct. 19, 2001 at Wesley Manor.
He was born July 24, 1918 in Clinton County to Harry E. and Nina Marie (Eaton) Sheets. He married Dorothy L. Dilworth March 24, 1940, and she preceded him in death March 27, 1990.
He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1937 and was a fisherman and mushroom hunter. He was a life-long farmer who worked at Sheets Market and was a bus driver for Union township. He was a former member of Kilmore United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: three daughters: Linda (husband Richard) Cole, Frankfort, Mary (husband Charly) Jacoby, Frankfort, Dorothy (husband Richard) McCarty of Michigantown; two sons: Herbert C. Sheets, Jr., Frankfort, and Harry S. (wife Trudy) Sheets, Frankfort; two sisters: Bonnie (husband Floyd Kaser), Patty (husband Harold) Thompson, Arizona; one brother: Harry (wife Kathleen) Sheets: four grandchildren: Crystal (husband Terry) Williams, Travis (wife Gina) Sheets, Tara (husband Eric) Woods, Stace (wife Melissa) Alter; several step-grandchildren and several great- and step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Maxine Smock, and four brothers, Elmer, Paul and Billy and Robert Sheets.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery.
