Ida B. Davis, 84, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette at 1:12 p.m.
She was born April 9, 1930, in Frankfort, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Glee McQuern Fisher. On January 3, 1981, she married Gerald Davis; he preceded her in death April 17, 2013.
Ida attended Frankfort Schools and was a graduate of Huffer Beauty School. She worked for Martinâs Beauty Shop and Mathews Wire until 1992. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Frankfort.
Surviving are one son, Tommy Lee (Kathy) Thomas of Jensen Beach, FL; daughter, Deborah Kay (David) Evans of Kirklin; step-daughter, Myra (David) Rounds of Frankfort; sister, Carolyn Kinderman; ten grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ida is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Donald, Jackie, Clayton, Kenion, James, and Bobby; and four sisters, Katherine Irons, Bonnie Herr, Delores Huffer, and Alfreda Bowen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 9:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Shan Sheridan officiating.
