Ida (Cheek) Bolen

Ida Bolen, 83, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Monday May 8th, 2023, surrounded by her family. Ida was born to the late Jean and Roy Cheek on June 29,1939.

Ida was a 1957 graduate from Jacksboro High School in Tennessee. She later moved to Frankfort in 1979 where she was a homemaker. Ida was a proud member of the Eagles, the VFW, and the American Legion Auxiliaries.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Staci Orem, Sheri ( Robert) Hutchison, Terry Bolen, Glenn Bolen, Sisters; Marsha Waterfield, Jan Johnson, Brothers; James (Sue) Cheek, Grandchildren; Mindy (Adriana) Bratton, Taner Bolen, Caria Bolen, Jessica Sawyer, Jeremy (Michalle) Hutchins, Shana (Sam) Gideon, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Ida was preceded in death by a sister; Mildred Jurs, Brother; Carl Cheek, and a grandchild; JD Orem.

A funeral service will be held on Friday May 12 at 1 pm with Pastor David Bushfield officiating. Burial will follow at Colfax cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ida’s honor to the local VFW post 1110. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the funeral.
